Martyrdom of St. Elizabeth and the Nun Barbara

Today the Russian Orthodox Church commemorates the Holy New Martyr Grand Duchess Elizabeth and the Nun Barbara.

These two Saints, and those with them, suffered martyrdom near the town of Alapaevsk in Siberia in July of 1918.
